Hi there everyone. Just wondered if anyone could help. Ive got a C250 diesel estate on an R plate (97). Its automatic. I was wanting to check the gear box oil and wondered how this was done as there does not seem to be a dip stick in sight. I have also noticed that the kick down seems to be a little sluggish and wondered if this could be related to the oil level / quality. Hope someone can shed a little light please. Thank you

This is a mileage thing and the fluid changed at around 40-50k miles, no offence but the 250D is not that a lively car, or do you feel it is worse of late

Hi there and thanks for taking the time to reply. I wouldn't say that its got worse, but when i put my foot to the floor it takes about 2 - 3 seconds to react. When it does react, it goes well. Its the C250 TD model. Thanks again.

I do not think that there is a MAF on this car,, if the power output is dwn a touch it could cause your problems,

When I turn on my other computer i will take a look

Just checked and may be you have fault codes P1403.P1465 or P1470.

This is a sticking pressure transducer

Do you have an indie near you with STAR test gear who could test for those fault codes

hi there. Thanks again for replying. I have got a good indie near me that has the star. I have also replaced the large fuel filter but not the small one. Where is this situated? Again, many thanks.
