Getting a car checked over (post-purchase)

Have bought a 230TE and generally very happy with it - but is it worth getting a good independant pro to spend an hour "looking over" the car to see if anything is "likely to go" or if there's any issues I didn't spot when buying?

I'm in the South of England (W.Sussex) for reference.

Find a W123 specialist


Hiya Riceburner it is worth tracking down a W123 specialist, or someone who is experienced with them, it can make all the diffrence. I 've personally found that General Mercedes main service staff may not have seen one for a while. Look in the back pages of Mercedes Enthusiast.
I have a 230ce and it has really benefitted from an experienced Mechanic who previously worked for Mercedes.

think its a w124 from the TE but could be wrong

There's Haynes near Worthing, though they may be a tad expensive. Also Rivervale (MB authorised repair centre), MB of Brighton (MB Main Dealer) and Alan Robertson (independent specialist) in Brighton & Hove
