Just dropped my trusty old E class in for its annual tin worm treatment.
The last time I was in, it was business as usual - no one available at service and I wasn't dressed well enough for a salesman to deem to speak to me. When I did find one
Q: Do you have an E270 demonstrator? ..
A: No.
- end of conversation.
This time, I walk through the door to be instantly greeted by a friendly chap who directed me to the service area and got me a receptionist to speak to. Whilst he was booking me in, I took a sly read of a memo on his desk. Something from senior management about phones not being answered quickly enough and how this was not acceptable.
I went outside but couldn't find the loan car. Turned around and he was there again! Took the key and found me the car.
And the loan car .. Smart, A Class? - Fully loaded E320CDI! Command is funky though I'm still not convinced Id pay 3 figures for it. Nearly crashed it on the way home fiddling with all the buttons!
Its been a long time since I could say I was impressed with the service at my dealer. Is this a sign of things to come?
