When posters ask a question in the technical help forums, would they please, at least, acknowledge those that try to help with a brief note of thanks.
I'm not an expert, but I'll try to help as I have a long history of owning "older" cars that occasionally go wrong and need some TLC.
I've posted a few suggested "Try this" and "That worked for me" replies and never got a kiss my a"*e for my troubles.
I'm also a member of a Bikers forum and the banter and sense of community puts us Merc. owners to shame.
It would help us all if there was a fix that worked on some problem as it's likely to crop up for someone else. "Hey, old so-and-so said try this and it worked" might just be the thing that goes wrong on your motor tomorrow.
Please acknowledge those that try to help :? .
Moan over. I feel better now.
