Hi guys

I have reserved a 2018 gla45 35k miles which I am picking up next week .

One of the first and only things I'd like to do is get it remapped nothing silly just a stage 1 so not other mods apart from ecu. Got a couple of questions

1. What are the clutches on these cars like ? Will I experience any slipping or any major wear on other parts I like to have this car for a good 3/4 years so want it to last .

2. I hear they are very pop , bang and crackle straight out the factory which I love, is getting it remapped likely to effect this and stop it doing so.

Cheers in advance for your feedback

400-420 seems to be the norm, I’ve had no issues so far with my A45.

To get the crackle remove both resonators and drive in manual. Crackle and pop maps are available but detrimental to the CAT.

A stage 1 remap is unlikely to cause any long term issues with the transmission system. Pops and bangs can be adjusted to your preference by the tuner (I assume this is a custom tune not and off-the-shelf job).
