Having recently started a new job with a round trip of 50 miles I have found by by putting my GLC300e in Eco mode AND also putting my work destination ALONG with my home destination into MBUX the system utilises regeneration to the maximum. I was originally charging the battery to 100% and got anywhere between 21 and 25 actual miles but displaying between 24 and 28. More recently I have now started charging the battery to only 80% and only to 100% if going on a longer journey (over 100 miles): I have further established by also using the speed limiter it also allows more regeneration or gliding mode on down hill stretches and using cruise control on the motorway but only to max of 60mph since it is only for 4 or 5 miles. All this means for my 50 mile journey, which I did this morning with 80% proving 18 miles I was able to do 29 miles on electric for the whole journeyWelcome, it will be interesting to hear your real world experience of this model.
Nowadays the batteries are quite resilient, my i8 has an 8 year warranty for the batteries which would be activated if the battery capacity drops below 70%. My range is similar, theoretically 21 miles, but in reality that is quite dependent on a number of factors, including temperature and what auxiliary features you use (e.g. Aircon). My actual is nearer 17-18 miles.
the PHEV will go to Zero electric range available, but only briefly , as the petrol engine and braking will regenerate some range fairly quickly.
I have a pod point at home, the car gets plugged in whenever it is parked up there, so it rarely reaches 0 range. Like you, I have the remote charging (and conditioning) app, it's reasonably straight forward. When I was working at my office I would have it on a scheduled charge, 20 minutes full charge/condition before setting off.
