Glowplug light on

I have read many of the threads about the light coming back on after starting. My C220CDi 2002 model has this prob. I have changed the plugs but to no avail. Whats next? It doesnt seem to cause the car a problem.

Glow plug relay.

Yes, check the relay...there is a thread about repairing the relay's internal 'link-fuses' that are known to occasionally 'blow', do a search.

hi just had all glow plugs replaced and had the relay replaced but like your problem still the same .i would like to know what to do next i did not use m b plugs to much cost, but this should not course this problem .

Thats your problem, seen this many times now, cheaper plugs, only 15 quid each from merc!!

hi yes i think you are right just had the cheap one tested and one is not showing any power. take it out and strart again and i have replaced the relay at cost of £70 no had no need to ,live and learn. regards page
