GLS 350d 2017
Morning all, I am a new owner of a GSL350D AMG Line 2017, I love it. One question I have is should I have the Option for the Tailgate to open with a flick of the foot under the rear bumper. I have tried it so many time and no affect. I can open from the key, handle on the tailgate and button on the drivers door, just no foot flick option. I know its no biigie, just wondered if I had the feature and if it was working or not. Thanks in advance.

Worth using one of the online VIN decoders so you can check if it was in the options - not sure is a 2017 would have it

I’ve got it on mine - works one time out of ten so I generally don't bother with it. I’m sure it’s just getting the right technique in the right place but I’m not that patient but keeping trying on yours.

Having checked further, I am not sure I have it on my GLS

Different car (had this on an E300 coupe, now gone) but found that the technique was to swipe with foot, then stand back. Then it works every time. It seems to be a safety feature so that the opening boot lid doesn't catch you under the chin!
