The body really needed some alterations, as the ET is less.

So I fitted 245 on the front reather than255, and 275 rather than 285, I upped the profile by 1 and the car rides very well

Very nice Malcolm, what offset are those wheels? they look like they need spacer just to push them out a little.

The have an ET of -10 so they stick out more than the ones I took off, the arches would have to be flared more to go more and unwise on a car with ABC

Thank you all very much for the nice comments , I will have to take great care with kerbs ar the outer rim on the 2 piece wheels is so thick that you do not get much protection from the built in protector on the tyre, add to that they stick out more than my old ones

As these tyres are 20 mm larger in diameter, I thought that the car would be more economical, but on a 135 mile each way return known journey, the on board computer should it to be 2.5 miles per gallon worse, though the tank gauge showed it to be better. The navigation is spot on using the Comand, cant work this out yet, when I fill up in the morning I will know more

Roof up or down Malc?

It was up all the way, the car normally used to show 28-29 mpg, but today impossible to get over 26.1 and that was in both directions, and I drove at 75 mph for 90%
