I accquired the above car 10 days ago. The car has done on average only 4k per year and wasn't used much at all in the last 6 months. Yesterday, I had both front tyres replaced and since I started to notice grinding noise at the front on the driver side, especially at low speed. I brought the car back for inspection, both front tyres weren't taken off and the brake shields were checked thoroughly. Still the problems persist. I bounced the front of the car at standstill and notice the same noise. An expert friend suggested it could be the anti-roll bar bush and/or ball joint that have worn out. Jacking up the car to replace the tyres could strecth the suspension and caused the problem. Any ideas please.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think it could be suspension, and wheel bearing failure at this mileage seems unlikely. My guess would be the brakes dragging, does it disappear when you apply them?

No the noise wasn't there when braking. Both tyres were taken off and dust was blown away from the pads. Pads were also checked. No problems there.
