Thanks Malcolm, it woudl be good if there could be a tidy way of keeping all these links together - normally I would just edit the original post but I can't do that

I had this done last week by an indie, it was up in the air having an O2 sensor replaced so I took the opportunity to have the filter replaced at the same time. The steps he took were almost 100% the same as yours, but with added checks, and a container to catch any spilled fuel. Nice write up :)

Excellent write up as usual, and a very good point about the Safety goggles! I am not one of these people that bows much to the H&S people as very often it is OTT, but I always wear protective eye gear when there is the slightest of risk regarding the eyes. You can never be to careful with your sight.

Whenever doing any work with fluid under the car safety goggles are a must.

I couldn't agree with you more, there is a time and place for H&S and this is it, it's much nicer when you can still see after doing the job

Wow 2013......

Yeap... but clicked on the guides link in the OPs signature, and considering the OP has just rejoined the forum, I thought it could be worth giving a hint on how to clean these up if others click the same link.

The information on these does not get old so worth getting it into a nice structure..

(I did take pause to consider reviving such an old thread..:) )
