Handbrake pedal return spring

My daughters CLC has developed a minor issue.
The footbrake pedal is not returning to its normal rear position anymore and the warning light and buzzer are coming on as a result.
If she lifts it with her foot slightly, all is well.
Suspect the return spring has snapped on the pedal.
Anyone have a link to somewhere that can supply the spring?
Anyone know if its a standard part across the range?

Had the same problem,was advised here on MBO to lift the rear seat,see the round inspection cover in the middle there,remove, lube and grease the linkage and cables exposed underneath , activate the brake and see if it frees.Worked for me.

There is a knurled ratchet above the foot brake pedal , try spraying some lube on that first
