Having looked for the last 2 years for a hands free kit that would use the steering wheel telephone buttons, I have finally found a solution.

It is made by a German company called CULLMANN, the kit uses their VC4 base unit which has all the electronics in it. You then use a choice of click on cradles, (I use a Nokia 6230).

A plug and play wiring harness connects to the back of the stereo and into the base unit. The base has to be fitted onto a console (I got the MB genuine part which replaces the left hand section of the centre console).

It works really well with the conversation coming through the front right hand speaker and muting all the others. The functions are Answer/End incoming call, end outgoing call and volume up and down.

Also available but not tried is a cradle for the 6600/7610 which also gives navigation and a voice dialling card yet to be tried.

I have attached (hopefully) a pic of the kit installed in my car (C180 Sport Coupe)

If anyone thinks that this system may be of benefit please get in contact with me and I will give you the name of the UK supplier.

I have a Nokia 6670 (almost identical to the 7610) and so would be interested in looking into this Cullmann system. Can you send supplier details please?
