Hard Top SL '71-'80

Apparently, there is a problem with all these hard-tops, in that, the underside of the panel sitting on top of the body of the car, particularly on the driver's side, gets really badly affected with rust. I am trying to find a replacement - but the cost of these roofs (in good condition), plus the respray to match, is very expensive. Does anyone know of a company that specialises in repairing this kind of problem - or is there a company that sells replacement parts??????

My one is so bad its beyond repair, but I remember spotting a few on ebay for reasonable money, all you have to do is get it painted to match.

Thanks for that!!! Yes, very expensive....but I've been looking on ebay for months and keep getting outbid on the hard tops that are worth buying.....so think I'll take the plunge! Even the screws are expensive! Hopefully it will last another 30+ years....
