Have a space saver spare can I use hub spacer with it.

I have a Mercedes space saver with correct stud pattern to fit my glc but it wants to touch the calipers is it possible to fit a spacer on the hub rather than buy another wheel ,
Would this work. ?

A spacesaver is already a big compromise with its narrow width and limited tread depth. I'd really not want to add another factor with a spacer. I've just bought a spacesaver for my Viano to replace pump and goo... it took a bit of trouble to get the correct one as its more rare than say the C & E class fitment. Worth it though for a proper fit.
