yes we like to sink the boot into arab and asian cultures but give me their legal and judicial system anyday and a bit of sharia thrown in.

Really like when one of our subhumans are caught trafficking drugs in one of these countries and everyone is up in arms because of the sentence they may recieve, as i keep saying we are a laughing stock

Unconscionable behaviour. In my opinion this woman should be charged with culpable man slaughter, or contributory at the very least (presuming such charges exist).

By rights there ought to be a ten year to lifetime driver's license ban instigated for this kind of deliberate, contemptible and despicable behaviour.

And as for suspended sentences. That simply encourages scum. She should SERVE two years. Not have five months held in abeyance for that period.

I entirely agree. Allowing people to drive in this country should be seen as a privilege, not as a right.

This woman's license should be shredded - permanently. It would be entirely possible to put a block on her ever becoming the registered owner of a car too - that way, if someone else lent her their car to circumvent this, the insurance would be invalidated and the penalty (if caught) more severe (for both this person and the owner of the car).

I see no disincentive at all in a suspended sentence here. How much did it cost us to conduct this facile prosecution?

I believe the Scots took the precaution of filling the vacant spaces as the politicians moved South - thus preventing a return.

Remember - the Scots in England are like haemorrhoids. When they come down and go back up, it's OK. It is when they come down and stay down that the trouble starts! :Oops:

I must admit to being a fan of Arab / Thai prisons etc. Beats HMP Playstation hands down, especially for the taxpayer.
We (the UK) are a global laughing stock now as a result of the PC do gooder morons
getting their way.

I am afraid we have what we have because that is what 'we' well a lot of 'us' voted for twelve years ago and with Mad Jack as Justice Minister and that awful bl**dy female eunuch Harriet Harperson supported by a raft of lefty loons nothing but nothing will change. Sadly however whoever gets in next time will not change things, until 'we the people' rise up things will continue and when we do we will all get locked up anyway so best keep prison a soft touch so it doesn't hurt 'we the people' to much.

During a visit to Singapore last year I had the chance to visit Changi Jail if only we could do a deal and ship them out there....
