I asked a question on here regarding the Mercedes chrome fob key and i received great help from members on here. I can't thank them enough for helping me avoid "Made in Taiwan" chrome fob keys from ebay. :)

I asked a similar question with more about making adjustments to my current keyfob - http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=102734 - I got some really helpful posts particularly from Dec, television and whitenemisis

Can't thank you all enough for the help and advice - not only has it helped solve a problem and answer a question but it has helped me understand my car better and I really appreciate the time you guys spent replying to my questions(one of which was really rather stupid!)

Cheers guys
Chris

On a forum, such as this, there are many very knowledgable people, who are well conversant with MB problems. It may or may not be the case, that one actually fixes the problems onesself, but the answers you get from this forum, sure helps, when discussing it with the guy who does fix it, and that added knowledge helps keep the price down.

Park Brake Fix

Yes, a very useful thread on adjusting and lubing the park brake on a CLK w209 - probably saved me pounds at the dealer - hope I can reciprocate someday.

Yep, I mentioned something about side lights going on or off by themselves and I was suggested to have a look at the light module behind the fuse box. I've not had a chance to take it apart but when the fault happens, I can tap the top of the lid and all is well again.

Will take it apart when I have free afternoon, but none the less it was a correct diagnosis.

Thanks group.

with sincere thanks

Yes

Like many I arrived with a problem. Cost effective solution advised and acted upon.
Other possible ''weaknesses'' of my car have been brought to my attention and acted upon.
I have little doubt that the inherent knowledge of some of the Posters on this Forum have saved me money and grief.

Mic

AS written above-i have been rescued so often by this forum-Malcolm in particular .

much appreciated

I had just bought my SLK. Needed advice as to why my interior light was staying on in auto mode. Malcom quickly responded suggesting the PSE pump, and the cause of the fault.

Absolutely right. All fixed now under warranty.

Thanks :)

Stunning SL350 - Gone
Malcolm has just helped me with the front drainage issue on my SL, he even gave me his phone number as I am absolutely useless when it comes to DIY, great forum and members, so happy to be a part of it.

I am just so happy to be considered a "junior" member that I try not to submit any posts but I can confirm that have had lots of help over the last couple of years from members posts.

I would say that the overwhelming majority who have posted problems here
have had a positive result.I've certainly benefited by direct solutions from Malcolm and several of the independent specialists, not to mention the search function. As we don't seem to have many trolls on here,I've just thought of posting an alternative thread asking if anyone has had a problem that hasn't been solved.Good idea or not?
