That's me having to get my second emblem badge in 1 and half years. Why can't people leave an MB alone?

DON'T!!! Ive been worried about this scince i got the car.

We dont live in a rough area BUT! i still pull my car up the drive faceing the house rather than back it up.

at our old house we had our ren scenic keyed 3 times and each time the police say "did you see who did it?"
No cause other wise you may be taking ME in for GBH?

There's not enough people walking past my place to steal the badge

Although I worry when I go into town, Yeovil isn't the nicest of places, so I try Taunton if I want to go shopping!

Have had my Merc for 8 years and only had any damage done a couple of weeks ago when the star was stolen off the bonnet, not got around to getting a new one yet (was thinking of shapening the edges when I do).....

agree, excellent idea! either that, or connecting it to the national grid

when mine was nicked, i asked MB if i can replace it with a "flat" badge, as per the C class, but apprently u cant (for the E class). It was only 15 quid, but obviously the hassle of getting it done is a pain, plus the thought that some neaderthal has got away with it. I was just grateful that mine was extracted with surgical precision... and the bonnet was untouched.

Spooky post!

Mine was nicked by some oik on Wednesday night from outside my house.

Rang Merc Plymouth and picked one up yesterday afternoon.

£16.50 and they fitted it (took all of 10 seconds!).

I was thinking maybe the boffins on here could conjure up a way of fitting the star to the bonnet in a totally isolated way, so that it could be wired up to a 25000 volt supply to dish out a nasty shock to any perpitrators...a bit like a pig fence does....and as a finishing touch, coat it in poison!

Would have to make sure that you gave enough juice to knock the buggers out for a few hours (until morning), if it was a small shock they'd probably just find the nearest brick and place in on the driver seat via a hole in the windscreen they'd make with said brick.

And don't forget they all come from broken homes and only have 200 £50 games for their Xboxes:p
You should all be ashamed of yourselves, these poor harmless mites are only finding something to do as they are bored.

The old man (who brainwashed me about Mercs at an early age: I DO blame the parents) has lost a couple over the years. The first replacement one came from MB, the second came from GSF Euro. No difference in quality. Then when I needed one a couple of years back GSF stopped doing them due to product liability or some old guff but, happily, they're back in the business of selling stars again.
