Sorry if this is a silly question but..

How do you put on the hazard lights for a duration of time ?

The switch on the console is spring loaded and they only stay n as long as I hold the switch down, the manual doesn't even say anything about this.

Cheers,

CSW

hazard lights

hi there, to me it seems that the spring in the switch has gone because you should push it like any other hazard light switch and it will stay on until depressed..

Hi,
As Kush says your switch is U/S, you may be able to repair it if you are patient enough and can get it apart, you could try spraying it with switch cleaner, it won,t be the spring in the switch thats U/S, but the latching on mechanism which has a mechanical action.

Thanks guys,

Having not owned a Mercedes before I thought perhaps they had some other system to operate the hazards.

I suppose the main problem in fixing this would be access ?

thanks again.

The catch operates in the same way as some of the flaps on the older TVs. there is a tiny hair spring that swings the locking latch,,it could have come off the latch
