Bored of my constant questions yet? Just replaced the ballast on passenger side head lamp, all working again, whilst checking everything is working I noticed that the headlamp washers were activating but not actually extending out of the bumper, can anyone tell me the cure please as I am thinking the washer fluid squirting onto the ballast unit and not the headlamp could have been the cause of the last ballast unit failing.

Is the pump actually working?
Unless it is frequently used they can seize.

Yes the pumps working OK, squirting water up inside the bumper.

Its not uncommon that water in pipe to the jets freezes and the the pipes pop off when activating the washer jets.

I had this on my W220 to the extend the pipes pop off and fall on the floor to be lost.
