Headlight Flashing for No reason

Had a strange one today.... went to start the car and the ESP fault came on the dash and the headlights were flashing?

Any ideas?

a wiring short of some kind?

I had one headlight flash/flicker on my Audi once and it was because I had fitted some Halfrauds bulbs and it had melted the wiring and the connections to one of the headlights.

That was one of the many Audi faults, far too many to list here

ONLY fault and I blame Halfrauds for that (well, when I say only, there was the CV joint, the fan bearing on the radiator , the MAF and the clutch but that is genuinely the lot. Not bad for 160,000 miles)

You didn't accidently get into a BMW did you? That could be why your headlamps were flashing.

hi has happened with an s class, was signs of the ignition switch failing on that if it helps

That's what BMW drivers use to alert other road users to their presence, what with having no indicators.





PS. I once had an 3-series coupe, great car!
