This is a problem I reported a while ago and I thought had been resolved.
Since then, the windscreen was replaced by Autoglass last October, after which strange things started to happen again. Firstly, after a couple of months the wipers defaulted to plain intermittant operation when set to ‘automatic.’
In the last couple of weeks the lights have also behaved oddly - firstly occasionally, now all the time. With the headlights (set to ‘manual’ on display) and the light switch set to ‘automatic’, they’re on all the time with the Comand and heater display on ‘night-time.’ With the light switch set to ‘off’ - Comand and heater display are on ‘daytime.’
I think this is either something to do with the screen sensor not having been connected fully or correctly but I have no idea how to access it. Or it may be that the sensor simply needs calibrating.
Any help or advice warmly received, as I’m 50 miles from the nearest Mercedes dealer.
