Hi all, I'm Dave, I have had my merc for about a year now and am now ready to bring it back to glory, I'm starting by replacing the headlights, I have tried to clean them up, but they are to far gone. There are plenty of headlights on e bay ect but almost all of them state "not coupe". Does anyone have any idea where i should be looking, Dont mind if they are used either, as long as they are nice and clear.
Many thanks

Strange, but your post shows on my screen as light green.
Very pretty, but barely readable!

You could register with an on-line breakers, stating your interest - or put a 'Wanted' post on this forum, as your starter for ten (or for two, in your case).

Are the lamp lenses misty/ cloudy?

If so, go and buy a 3M headlamp cleaning kit from Amazon or eBay. £50. You get cutting compound, masking-off tape, polishing mops and a sealing fluid. Follow the instructions, 1hr later your lamps will look like new.

Mine were awful on my Primera, cloudy, yellowed, looked unrescuable. I used McGuires. About £24. Though didn't contain sealant.
Just using compound didn't work, not even after hours of trying.
Then followed instructions for difficult lenses.

Used supplied sanding pads,as per instructions, finished with compound. Results were fantastic. Definitely worth a try. Either companies products would do.

Be sure to cover car with dustsheets, and mask off. The compound goes everywhere.

I just did my W210 lenses.
Hand rubbed with 600 grit wet and dry (used wet), then 1500 grit (used wet), then 2500 grit (used wet) followed by brasso on an orbital polisher.

Finish with AG Super resin polish and they look like new. You could also use Rainex as a top coat if desired.

Took about an hour and a half for all 4 lights.
