Is it easy and straightforward to retrofit heated seats in a leather W211.? If so what do I need and how much is it likely to cost. Thanks Gordon

These MB heating pads are sown into the squab leather.

You can buy after market heaters that you wire in your self

I have heard, even if the car does not have heated seats, the pads are already there(eg in e class 2007 models), is that true?

wouldn't surprise me, they aren't that dear. and looking at a few 2007 e class classic yesterday on the web,(there are 3-4 on MB Directs web site) they all seem to have heated seats fitted - and tyre pressure monitoring. not bad for a basic spec car !
