Am I right in assuming that the 'Winter Pack' option includes these two features. It really annoys me that I can jump in the Focus and defrost the screen by the press of a button and yet on the MB (bristling with technology) I'm outside scraping ice. I know theres nothing I can do about it but it does grate.

The real issue of this thread is whether its possible to upgrade the screen washers to the heated variety without taking out a second mortgage and is it practical (I know that I can increase the wash concentrate but its a messy business and doesn't always work).

Both my cars have wires running to the washers, I asked about these before but never really got to the bottom of it.

Just have a look at the nozzles. If there are wires running to them then chances are they're heated.

Personally though I never found it a problem, warm water from a pan always clears the ice :)
