Last week I noticed a slight but intermittent noise a bit like a moment or two of bird song, but wasn't sure where it was coming from. Today it was more noticable and I managed to track it down to the heater/air con blower. Before this was only turned to 1, but on two or 3 it really gets quite noisy and irritating. Does anyone have experience of this or a simple cure, please? (Short of ear defenders, that is, or managing without the heater. )

Thanks.

Remove the fan and lubricate it. Accessed from underneath the glove box.

If it's a 124 E class then it's below the screen, under the bonnet, behind wiper.

Hmmmm! Parrot of Doom indeed... trying to manipulate myself into the passenger footwell and look under the glove box with a torch was not a good idea... :)

Next question... anyone know a good chiroprator in my area who can untrap a nerve? pmsl - And there was me thinking that might be a job I could do for myself. :D
