Hello the Mercedes Club, new to the forum, but looking for a bit of advice on Heater Blowers. Ours works, the car is a W124 '94 300E TD Estate, but needs replacing. We can do this, we've had the thing out already, but the problem we seem to have is this; we're getting a feed out of the switches, it's the "Piano" 5 switch panel, but it seems to run to two relays and we're getting no current out of there. The relays, if that's what they are, they are in the wiring diagram, are cylindrical, about 3 inches tall and fitted just in front of the Battery, inboard of the Macpherson strut top mount, RHS. They're actually plumbed into the coolant system ! BTW, we're in France, the car is a left hooker, but I usually find it's easier to get info on English / American sites. (Is that O.K. on here, can you help ex-pats ?) For the time being, we've hot wired the blower to a switch stuck on under the dash. The switch panel works, when the blower is on, it still directs hot air to the screen, the footwells, etc. but we'd rather find the feed fault, before we change the Blower. But we will change the Blower.

Any advice greatly received,
Regards
Tom

Hi and welcome. Those 'relays' control the hot water flow into the heater matrix.
They're commonly known as duo valves.
