Hi, I've had a problem with my heater booster on my sprinter for a while now (noticed the problem as it started getting cold LAST year).
I've had a good look and can't see where the problem is, there is power getting to it, there is water getting in and out, and there is fuel getting to it. But it just will not switch on. I was told it might be the temperature sensor and bought a new one a while back, i had a look one day to see where it fitted but couldn't find it, i've been ridiculously busy since.
So i'm wanting a few more pointers on this. The other issue is the thermostat. Could this be sticking open. My main problem is my van takes a good 5-10 minutes of 60mph+ driving to get it up to temperature (about 80-85 degrees) but when you slow down in this weather it drops right back down to 40-50 degrees) it makes it very cold in the cab especially at night.
My first thoughts were the heater booster, but now i'm thinking the stat might be stuck open ASWELL. Is this a possibility?
Looking for advice on both really.
