Hi

my Heater Blower decided to stop working this morning , it was working at first but I had to turn the engine off ( i had forgotten something in the house and needed my keys!!) and then turned the ignition back on, started the car and no blower.

I thought it may have been a fuse but having checked it , its not. Theres no fan speed at all on any of the settings and hence no heater!!

I have a W202 220 CDI Estate ( 1999)

anybody any ideas ? it was making a whining noise when then fan speed was at max no 5, but if i turned it down to 4 then it stopped, this has been going on a while i hasten to add!

Is it the heater control panel ? or the heater fan ? how can i find out ?

any help / info would be much appreciated!

not much fun driving in the cold now!
cheers
