Heater Fan Wont Turn Off At Switch

My w202 heater fan will not turn off by the switch which i think it is linked to the air con?? i only get hot air out of all the vents when air con is on and both temp switches are set on cold air. As soon as i thump the dash by the passenger air bag I get air con cold air out of all the vents and the fan will turn off by the switch but this is only done by hitting the dash(wifes not happy about hitting the dash by the air bag) when the air con is working you can turn the heater control switch to 0 and its off.But next day turn fan on and use the air con its blows only hot air out when you go to turn the heater fan off to 0 it still runs ??? hit the dash its off??? PLEASE PLEASE HELP I

1. stop hitting the dash, unless you want a facefull of airbag

2. search the forum for 'blower fan' and you'll find all sorts of interesting stuff.

I had possibly the same problem only a couple of weeks ago, and the kind people on this very site soon sorted it out for me. I got a regulator for £35 ish from a on-line breakers, and fitted it myself in 30 mins.
