Am writing this post on behalf of my old mum!

She is having some issues with her 01 C180
It occasionally looses all dashboard electrics and functions yet the engine will run ok. Also from time to time it will say ESP not available. I ahve not driven the car much but wondered is there a common fault in this model?

thanks from us both

id guess the battery. its old enough to be ready for replacement, and would be the 1st thing that i changed.

chances are ESP is turning off because of the car detecting a low voltage and puts the avail voltage to more critical system

The other month a friends clio had the same symptons as you mention, a battery change fixed this.
