Hi I'm Matt just been the proud new owner of a 2011 e350 estate sport, very happy with it seems a great car so far.

First thing I need to get is some decent car mats as unfortunately they're missing, any ideas?

It's going back under warranty next week as I think the thermostat is sticking open as it only gets to around 60 degrees when driving

Any advice will be welcomed, this is my first mercedes after a list of other cars, this seemed perfect balance for our dog, upcoming first child and plenty of performance/ space

Cheers

Matt

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum. The obvious place to look for mats is on Fleabay surely, I got some genuine MB rear mats on there for mine, mind you they were not particularly cheap. :)

Welcome Matt
Nice car to have, it will do you nicely!
Regarding mats, funnily I've recent experience albeit non Mercedes.
Got some from these for the Nissan Leaf and they are really top notch, great delivery and can be customised somewhat. Fitted absolutely perfectly. Highly recommend
For the BMW I got some from UK car mats, completely dreadful but cheap - I've now bought proper BMW 5 series ones which fit beautifully (From E Bay but genuine). Not recommended.
For my SL I ended up getting genuine Mercedes ones from MB Grangemouth who are forum supporters, they advertise on here too, let me know if you have trouble finding it. My 63 came with decent AMG mats

Thanks for the replies.

I noticed MB Grangemouth on a previous post and I've messaged them so hopefully they can sort me out.

I've seen various companies like the car mats UK being recommended and I admit it all becomes a bit confusing with each one offering the best and deepest carpets

Welcome I have the saloon its a great car. Sounds about right with thermostat, & your consumption will increase. If you deal with Grangemouth mention this site you will get a discount.

Welcome to forum. Do stick around.

Mercedes strong point is not mat after sales. I wanted a set for my W220 - no longer available.
I wanted a set for my W251 - no longer available.
But do go into a dealer.
Keep looking on ebay as NOS does appear.

Try to get genuine as MB mats are good and new mats do set off a car.

could also be worth a shout. Peter is a top bloke.

As for the temp. A stuck stat. Get original.

There are companies who custom make mats for discontinued models, e.g Southbound Motor Trimmers, local to me. Not as expensive as you might think

Or have a go yourself with a pair of scissors and some carpet, how hard can it be ?;)

Thanks for all the advice and tips everyone.

Does this model suffer much with the egr and dpf? I've not had a newer diesel with a dpf and know they're problematic on some cars

As a 2011 Euro 5 car, it shouldn't be a problem if it’s serviced properly and does normal journeys (ie not repeated short town journeys of only a few miles). I did 65,000 miles in mine without any problems. It’s the Euro 6 cars with AdBlue that are much more sensitive and likely to cause problems.
