- 200 SE Auto Petrol 2019
hope someone can help.
I have a 200 SE Auto Petrol- 2019 model with 14,000 miles on the clock.
Last week it would not start . Called RAC who did a diagnostic and found that the soot content on the gasoline filter was showing 19.3 instead of 9.5!
I am not techie at all so don't know what this means.
He recommended me to take the car to the MB garage for further checking as the reading was too high.
MB managed to reduce the soot content to 14.3 by driving on motorway for 100+ miles and suggested that I should be driving regularly on motorways to avoid this from happening!
This is obviously very time consuming and expensive. I had owned a C180 for 10 years previous to this one and had no such problem.
Has anyone else come across this problem? If so what is the solution.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
