- 2011 MERCEDES S350D BLUEMOTION
Hello, my names James and i work in a independent garage in Hull.
We came across this Mercedes S350D which was brought in originally with a DPF issue, after diagnosing it i found that there was an air leak right on the turbo were the intake is, replaced the gasket and went to start the car up, it was running for approx. 5 seconds and then cut out, tried to start it up again but i wont start, it does crank etc but will not start. plugged the diagnostics and checked the faults, and i was surprised of how many faults i seen. Car was running just fine and there was only 1 code stored before - 13AF00 - the soot content of the dpf is too high
And now theres -
143700 - a short was detected at pin 2 circuit 87
145000 - the control unit has an internal fault
Multiple other codes for egr, crankcase breather, coolant pump switch over valve, oxygen sensor - and all of them are a short to ground faults
P179A-12, U0121-87, U0100-87, U01680-87, P179D-00, B210C-16, B210F-00, b210d-00, P0629-00 and theres a few other codes. When i went to start the car last time before it did this, on start up there was a noise and for me it sounded like a fuse or something blew up and seconds after that it stalled and now wont start, it does crank, all lights come on etc.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Ive checked the fuse boxes and all of them are fine, low pressure fuel pump does work and supplies the engine with diesel but high pressure fuel pump wont come on, rail pressure is 11.4bar. tried swapping the fuel supply relay around but no luck
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
Thanks
