Hello - new Benz owner here after MB repairer in Norfolk

I accidentally posted this q in the tech section so sorry for that. I think I have a case of the dreaded chain stretch / tensioner / guides rails thing on my 96 S500 and I need to find a good mech in Norfolk. It would be more than okay with me if he didnt want an arm and a leg for the job either :lol:

Has anybody done this? How much did it cost? Can they replace the chain (if needed) with the engine in the car?

Getting a bit panicky about potential spend.......

It's not in Norfolk and I've never used him, but I understand derek Wells Merc in Needham Market near Ipswich is very good
