Great car the 211 E55.
Give it a thorough inspection before buying, preferably with someone who knows these cars. It can pay dividends if you can get it inspected by a Merc indy beforehand.
Check everything electrical works properly. Seat pumps, folding mirrors, heated seats, etc have a habit of being forgotten about. Check the navigation disc is in the boot. (LHS on the side in a compartment)
These cars are getting long in the tooth now and although the engine rarely gives cause for concern other bits may be wearing.
Think brake discs, engine/ transmission mounts, SBC pump, Airmatic etc.
Don't be swayed by performance, they are all quick.
Buy on condition and look for a good service history. It will serve you well if you snag a good one.
Still remember mine fondly.
