Hi there I'm new to MB & this forum.
Picked up my CLK 320 CDI Sport from MB Direct in Hemel Hempstead on Monday.
The car is superb & great to drive but in the 16 days they had between my deposit being paid & this Monday they couldn't manage to valet the car or fit the rear park assist I'd paid for.
I'm planning to drive in Europe in the near future does anyone know if I can adjust the headlamps myself or does it have to be done by them?

Hello and welcome are the lamp xenon or halogen.

Greetings,
As you're driving my next car I'd appreciate any feed - back. Why MB Direct by the way? Was there a good price advantage over Dealers?

He has the largest outlet just 2 miles down the A41 from where he lives

The Hemel MB Direct place is just up the road from my house. From what I could see by searching the dealers cars of a similar spec/year/miles were more expensive.
I must admit I didn't research the difference between MB Direct & MB dealers as I probably should have. The salesman told me that my car was used by a Merc employee for a few months. All their cars registrations began with K which I think is Milton Keynes.

I've only done about 100 miles so far but from what I've seen it's a lot of car.
Hoping to drive to Sweden in a couple of weeks so I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.

How do you tell the difference?

I thought at first you meant how do I know the difference from kings langley to pimlico

When you turn the lamps on they wil go up and down an come on to full brigtness. There is also a larg circle around the lamp, it can just be seen in the photo of mine.

I lived in Sweden for 15 years,,what part are you going to

Seems I've got Xenons, which are not adjustable so I'll have to buy high tech patches from Halfords.

I've worked at Malmo Sturup airport for the last 15 months.Usually work 13 days on 8 off.Flights etc are paid for,but I really fancy driving over there.

Certain lamp xenon are adjustable with a small lever inside where it switches over to LHD

There is a cde number on the lamps,,let us know the code if you cant find the lever.

Its much cheaper to drive up than by using DFDS to Sweden its a nice drive

I took the car to MB Direct earlier & they said it's non-adjustable.

I'm planning to go over to Calais & drive up through Germany, stop for the night in Hamburg then go up through Denmark to Kolding, down to Copenhagen & on to Malmo.
I think that way I avoid the ferries in Scandinavia. Not that I've anything against ferries but I prefer to drive.
Where did you live in Sweden?

The lamps are coded with a label and number.

MB always say they cant be adjusted when most can,,I will look it up later in the day can you post up the first 6 numbers of the VIN 209???

You still have to drive over the bridge, the ferry, the Putt garden crossing is cheap and you could save a lot of miles.

I lived in Jönköping for a time then up near Stockholm, and I speak Svensk

There is a label on the grey plastic behind the lights with a few numbers, letters & a barcode on it.
Nothing like 614 or 615 though.
