Help ! Broken Bonnet Star !!

Can anyone help?

I would imagine this must be one of the most common posts on the forum.

I came back to my car the other day and some bugger had snapped the MB star off my bonnet.

I have a 1995 C200 - what size etc do I need and is Ebay the best place to get it from ?

This happened on my old E Class too - any ideas how to deter the common British lout from snapping it !!

They scratched the bonnet too but the CCTV cameras that are in the car park (all six of them) were unable to pick up any detail as they were positioned too far away !! I guess that is what happens when you park in the middle of the car park close to the ticket machine. Ludicrous !!

Check the price from a dealer before you get one from Ebay, it might not be as expensive as you'd think.

You could replace it with a flat badge to stop the vandalism, or you could wait outside your car with a bit of 2x4.....

Dealer is your best bet. Ebay ones can be a bit dodgy and the dealer is less than £15 from memory - also they tend to fit it for free if you ask nicely.

Have also found a website partsgateway.co.uk which will be emailing me some prices too. So far they have come up with £17.62 delivered.

Now off to play golf in the sunshine !!
