Hello all,

I have recently purchased the above car on a 02 plate. I am having trouble with starting in the mornings. It takes a good 2 or 3 goes to get started. once running runs all day ok. I have noticed a slight drip of a plastic pipe (fuel line????) in the front of the engine above the pulleys. Is this a fuel line and hence sucking in air!? would this cause this issue??

Also today i seem to have lost alot of power when driving the revs are increasing with the pressing of the pedal but little transfer of power to the wheels, do u guys think this could be the clutch slipping?? ive got the car booked in on thursday at an independant MB specialist (as not mega rich so cant aford MB dealer prices)

I just after some technical opion and a rough guide to prices i think the specialist charges around £50 per hour labour.

Thanking you

possibly a leak from the seal on the back of the high pressure pump. If left then the diesel could swell the coolant pipes and wreck the poly V belt.

No more than an hours labour if it is that seal plus any parts.

You need to get it into a specialist for inspection ideally.

Thanks steve,

Is that likely to cause the "clutch slipping" behaviour aswell?
