Hi. I have a 2001 C200K Coupe. For the past 2 weeks, and only on very cold mornings, the car won't unlock using the electronic fob. Eventually, I would have to use the manual key which sets off the alarm and wakes up the neighbours...
I have been to Merc and they think that it's the EIS...Electronic Ignition Switch, but they can't seem to explain why it only happens when it's cold....which is why i'm not convinced that it's the EIS. When it first happened, I had the batteries changed the same day but that clearly wasn't the problem.
Can anyone please advise?
