I need a replacement grub screw for my C215 CL 500's front ABC strut. I had to drill it out and new strut fitted now need replacement screw but cannot find one.

I believe them to be M10 1.0 Pitch x 20mm?
Does anyone know where might sell these or the actual Mercedes part number?

Thanks,
James.

Go to a dealer parts desk and ask them to pull up rhe IPL and point to what you need.

look on the likes of partsourq.

If you google bolt suppliers aka fastener suppliers you might get lucky and find one local to you.

ebay is the best place for sourcing grub screws and the like. Suppliers on there sell the most obscure fasteners you can get. Alternatively Accu Group are equally as good. You could waste an awful lot of time traipsing round or ringing suppliers for what you want.

Amazon are a good alternative too and you have no worries about the post.
Only issue with Amazon is you often need to buy kits but given the cost of fuel to go get one it's cheaper to buy a kit and have loads of spares.

Sorry I should have said somewhere I can buy in person not order online.

If we knew where you are located it may help point you in the correct direction.

M10 x 1mm is a common size used on calipers (motorbike) so it may worth investigating that route.

Does it need to be a grub screw as metric fine cap screws (along with a copper washer) may be more readily available , if it would fit and seal.

I found an old Alfa Romeo control arm with a ball joint on that was threaded M10 1.0 pitch and cut that off the ball joint and reprofiled the end on my lathe. Job done
