Help Gearbox problems

Hi all, I have a e320 elegance auto and have a few gear box problems, here goes,
Tiptronic doesnt work, in S mode I lose then gear box altogether and have no power though the engine revs like hell, in W mode everything is ok but will not change into top gear, and tiptronic still won't work.
Had a problem similar on a mitsubishi auto and speed sensors were changed with a good result.
ESP malfunction also, don't know if this has anything to do with it.
Any Ideas gents and ladies.

Also where abouts is the gear box oil filler, brand new to mercs here.
I do know if gearbox oil is overfilled then this problem may occur in mitsi,s but not sure on mercs.

Gearboxes can be very expensive to "guess" problems without proper diagnosis. Best advise is to get it looked at before any serious damage is done. Where abouts are you?, someone will recommend a local indie.

no offence here, but which newcastle? tyneside or newcastle under lyme? as locals from both refer to them as 'newcastle' in my experience!

very true. had to check though as location would be important in this case!

auto box filer will be the dipstick tube with a blanking cap (red i think) on it, on the passenger side of the engine bay IIRC. gearbox oil is checked via diagnostics usually, but can be checked using either a bought or home made dipstick.
