Malc, got your PM, tried looking at what the lady is having problems with, you say its a 7g box malc, a 55 plate E500 to my knowledge would be a standard 7226 box, sorry but not really seen any faults apart from box slipping and 6 pages of banter!!

according to wis its either 722.6 or 722.9 going from the first 6 digits of the vin OP used the russian vin decoder and came back with 722.9 as her box

Yes this number came from her VIN

Well, having read the last 7 pages of chat ups and flirting, my advice would be a software update check first, this box has had quite a few since it was released!

As for checking the level, you cant,you have to have star reading the gearbox temp and then remove the sump plug while watching the flow drain out of the plug!

Its getting harder to check the level with each new box!!

Wouldnt be able to give a correct diagnosis without seeing the car!
