Hi hoping someone can help me so my ad blue level on my e220 convertible wasn’t showing so took this to my local dealer who told me I needed a new ad blue tank because the full level sensor is built in then to find out that my tank is discontinued and has been replaced with a new tank u85 which needs to be retro fitted apparently that’s been done and is now flicking up with pressure sensor .. fill level is showing and no faults but pump cannot be activated as pressure sensor is showing a fault but if old tank is plugged in the pump activated but has the full level issue can anyone please please help or have any information I can pass on that may help I honestly want my car back with the new tank working it’s been gone for over a month photo to show the difference between old and new old been the smaller one

Sounds to me like they've done 'Arfur Job'.
Either that's the wrong tank or there's an updated part with associated other tasks they haven't done.

They’ve showed me the paperwork and correspondence with Mercedes trying to rectify the situation so this is a replacement that merc themselves have done in correspondence between them and Mercedes’ it should be straight swap not issues but clearly not . I’m just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and how they got around it

There has been posts over at least the last 2 years of tanks needing replacing because the internal sensor get comprimised because of adblue chemicals crystallising out.

I d say since its a new superceded part not many on the forum have seen this, like your dealer or MB Germany.

I heard about that as well I pumped out my adblu tank 3 month ago I fill it again in 3 weeks we see.. My tank was replaced, also due to faulty internal sensor by previous owner. Prob reason for sale as was a grand all in, I hav bill on that. If I get same issue it will be, I am afraid adblu delete. End of. I not gettin mugged by benz. Another sxxte design.

The tank don't need any replacement its the sxxte design. One can't, yet, simply replace the sensor, just like one can't simply replace the thermostat. Just like one can't simply replace the fuel filter, some gobshxte has installed a heater in it which can't it seems be removed and fitted in new filter, n like one can't simply fit a towbar, needs more cooler, cooler fan and? and a number of 2lt plus estate mrrcs can't have a towbar fitted.. Makers are just havin a laugh.
