the car drives as it should but it wont rev up past 3000 revs but dosnt restrict its speed or driving, a neirbour put his code reader on and it came up with codes p2468, p2463, p0597, p0472, the car also has been de-catted before i bought it and told it was done properly

Doesn't sound like it's been done correctly - the only correct (and legal) way is not to decat - MOT failure and the car is illegal to use on the road - get it fixed properly
