I know this has nothing to do with MB, but I need your help.
For a few years now, there have been plans to develop a children's hospital in Leeds. This would mean that very sick children would no longer have to travel between different sites for the treatment of life threatening illnesses, particularly cancers. The plans for this hospital are now in danger of being shelved due to lack of money. Candlelighters, a charity set up to support children with cancer and their families at St James's Hospital, are asking for help to raise awareness of this issue.
My eldest daughter was treated for leukaemia at Jimmy's for 2 1/2 years when she was 4. She is now 13, and very fit and well. I'm sure you'll understand why I will do anything I can to support this cause, and I hope that you will find a couple of minutes to add your name to the petition and pass the details on to anyone you know who may be interested.
