Hi, newbie here!

I’ve had nox sensor issues for the past few months and im not sure if this new issue is down to that, an update Mercedes’ have done on my car or a totally new issue

When im Driving all the lights on my dash will light up and along with that I get a “something is not working/malfunctioned issue on my dash such as: anti collision, park aid and so on. Also when this happens my speedometer and revs drop like my car isn’t started and then when they come back up my radio comes on like I’ve just started my car.

Any help with this issue would be much appreciated

Firstly check your main battery is fully charged.

Do you lose power steering also ? Brake lights stuck on. ?

I will check the main battery as soon as I can. Any advice on best thing to use?

I’ve had the power steering lost notice on my dash but haven’t actually lost it, not too sure about the brake lights. I will check next time.

Also my reverse camera 9 times out of 10 days that it is unavailable

I use the dash to find out battery state.

With the display on trip ,no dash lights , 1st click of ign, press and hold phone button on steering wheel , within 1 second press ok. It should show hidden menus. It's all on you tube if you look.

Not too sure what it should be at. But I’m stationary and from taking this pic to uploading it the Amps has dropppes to like 5ish now

Sounds like an electrical issues stemming from one area effecting many things, earth's? Have a good look then get on code reader.

Sorry I’m not very educated around things like this . How would I check the earths?

You need an auto electrician or book a star session at an independent mb specialist. They will test and fault find . It's definitely a canbus issue with loss of signal at a certain component , like brake light switch, abs sensors etc.

driving home tonight from work , im greeted with pre safe not working, esp not working, distronic not working,cruise control unavailable ,i lost power steering and the speedo stopped working. cars in limp mode. do we think all these relate to a bad state of battery as my the dashcam came on for...

About 6 Yr ago I had a similar issue. On r230 v 12 turned out that rodents had ate thru a couple of wires. That took me a month of hassle to find, resolve.

Star is the diagnostic used by mb and those in the trade, about £48 per session . Trouble shooting technology. But in my case didn't help one bit , the mb Indy passed me over to an auto electrician, because my problem ,he didn't want to know , he blamed water in the electrics . So glad I found the issue myself.

Star is the Mercedes diagnostic equipment used by all the main dealers and the best independents. Tell us where you are and someone may be able to recommended somewhere for you to go.

To me, it sounds like a poor battery - do you do lots of short journeys? How old is the battery? Alternatively, as has been said, it may be an intermittent earthing issue, I would start with the battery.

@ onefortheroad, the point about an earth strap hanging off on your ABS module sounds like its worth the OP checking that out on their car

as for opening up your battery and seeing it dry, they are on AGM batteries (std fittment on Mercs), but they do respond to that white tissue paper having enough moisture to swell up and cover the black plates which shouldn't be in sight when you look inside

Yes , I read about them being dry later . At the time the battery wasn't taking a charge, when I put some special water into the cells . It did take a charge . I did suck alot back out with a syringe after charging , sold the battery anyhow for £30.

Hello. Did you find out what caused all the lights on your dash ? Got something similar on mine currently. Was it battery related? Cheers
