Just took off the old rad from my clk320 2004. Doesn’t look too bad but my car overheats when hot and I’ve already replaced the thermostat and water pump and the fan cuts in ok. She even gets too hot when on the motor way and surely faster speed means more cooling? I’m wondering what the skinny rad is in front of it? Can that prevent air getting to the main rad? It is a bit crapped up. Help please my friends!!
Cheers

The skinny rad is the condensor for your air con.

Is your car actually overheating? Or is it just appearing to do so .... maybe iffy temp sensor ???

Thanks for quick reply. Is the temperature sensor the one that screws into the top of the block at the front?

Looks like it could be. ??? I don't know your car but some cars have separate sensors to talk to the dash gauge & the engine ECU.

A few years back when I took EmilysMum's Citroen for MOT, the dash lit up like Blackpool illuminations saying it was overheating (no dash temp gauge) That's all that turned out to be
