Can anyone help with option codes?

I am particularly interested in the following:

640 - 15-hole light alloy rims?
656 - light alloy wheels, 10-hole?
664 - tires 275/65 R17 with rims chromium-plated?

this is what I have discovered so far:
256 rear axle with limited-slip differential
286 luggage nets on front seat backrests
404 multiple contour backrest left
405 multiple contour backrest right
406 code 404 and 405
410 electric sliding roof
430 headrests in the rear
461 instrument with mileage reading and English lettering
470 anti-lock braking system (ABS)
480 self-levelling suspension
507 outside rear view mirror, left and right, heated (left electrically adjustable), R.H.D.
524 paint coat preservation
532?
543 sun visor with vanity mirror, illuminated
580 air conditioner
615 code 611 and 613
611 courtesy lamps for front and rear doors
613 head-lamp unit, asymmetrically, L.H. traffic
640 15-hole light alloy rims?
656 light alloy wheels, 10-hole?
664 tyres 275/65 R17 with rims chromium-plated?
812 Rear mounted stereo loudspeakers

Some of these descriptions seem wrong to me, like the tyres for instance.

Thanks in advance.

Hi - not too sure what help you're after. There are several internet sites listing M-B option codes and they seem to support the information you have.

e.g. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/5350/mbcodes.htm
and http://www.ajseven.net/CODE.htm

I don't have enough experience to tell you whether any of them are in error but the different sources appear to be consistent.

The first site above also identifies your 532 code - automatic antenna without radio installation.

antijam, exactly the help I was after, thank you.

My next mission is to try and work out what rims and tyres were on the car when it came out of the showroom. It appears to have been supplied with 2 set of alloys and some rather enormous tyres!!

The only reliable code source is MB's EPC.

The codes do change with model and time..
