Help!

I have just bought a 51 c230k , I have had it for weeks and out of the blue the battery was flat one morning. This was replaced and again this went flat. It has apparently been on a diagnostic tester however, nothing showed up.
Is this common?
Why is the battery draining?

This is not uncommon in cold weather with a poorly made battery, it also depends on who made it, I had a Saab and the original battery lasted 6 years.
I bought one from Halfords two weeks later flat again,They tell me its the car and I said it was not. When this happened on the third one that went flat over night. they gave me an Exide. And that was the end to the problem.

The only way to check the car is to put an amp meter in serries with the battery terminal. with the alarm set the reading will be in milli amps.

The discharge rate ie 60ampere means that the battery can give 1 amp for 60 hours, 10 amps for 6 hours and so on.

with the exception of the alarm, radio and lights, everything else is de coupled with relays.
